# Bring your repositories, issues and pull requests to Comma

## Overview

Connect your GitHub account, and Comma can read a repository, follow an issue's discussion and brief you on a pull request before you review it.

## What you can do

### Understand a repository

Get the shape of a codebase and the issues that matter before you plan a change.

> Summarize this repository and list the open issues that block the next release.

### Catch up on an issue

Turn a long thread into the problem, what was decided and what is still open.

> Summarize the open questions in this issue.

### Prepare a review

Know what a pull request changes and where to look before you open the diff.

> Summarize this pull request and tell me which parts need a careful review.

## How to connect

1. **Open Plugins.** Choose Plugins in the sidebar, then GitHub.
2. **Authorize GitHub.** Sign in to GitHub and approve the account whose repositories Comma should use.
3. **Ask in chat.** Name the repository, issue or pull request in your request.

## FAQs

### Can Comma tell me about GitHub work that involves me?

Yes. Set your GitHub account as a personal source on the Plugins page. Comma reads it, finds what involves you and brings it up in chat.

### Can I mention @Comma on GitHub?

No. GitHub gives Comma tools to use in your requests; you ask in Comma. To hand over work from your tracker, use [Linear](https://comma.surf/integrations/linear).
