# Run Comma's Tasks with Claude Code on your computer

## Overview

Connect your computer, and Comma can run Tasks with the Claude Code installed there, in your projects, on the account you choose.

## What you can do

### Fix a bug

Hand over a bug and get a focused fix back.

> Find out why the export times out and fix it.

### Understand code first

Get an explanation and a plan before anything changes.

> Explain the likely cause of this issue before changing anything.

### Make a change

Ask for the change and how it was checked.

> Implement this improvement following the project's conventions, and summarise the checks you ran.

## How to connect

1. **Connect your computer.** Open Settings › Devices and connect your computer. On a Mac, [install Comma](https://comma.surf/en-gb/download).
2. **Choose an account.** Comma uses the Claude Code already installed there. Pick your Claude plan, an API key or a workspace account for it.
3. **Make it the default.** In Settings › Models, set the computer as where Tasks run.

### Do I need to install Claude Code?

Yes. Comma uses the Claude Code already installed on your computer.

### What if my computer is offline?

Its Tasks wait, or stop with an error. They do not move to another machine.
